Red hot martini recipe. This was my contribution to the Valentine's Day cocktail list. It tastes just like the candy it's named after you may remember from your childhood. This is the grown up version.
1oz Goldschlager cinnamon schnapps
splash of grenadine for color
Shake ingredients cold, and strain into a martini shell. For fun garnish with those heart candies that have messages written on them like "Be Mine". You can tone this drink down with a splash of soda water if it comes out too sticky or sweet.
1 1/2oz gin
1/2oz fresh lime juice
cold club soda
Pour over the rocks in a chimney glass and garnish with a lime wedge. You can substitute the gin for vodka or another liquor of your choosing.
This martini recipe is a Manhattan made with scotch instead.
1oz sweet vermouth
couple of dashes of Angostura bitters.
Shake ingredients cold and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.
