Making A Martini

Q: Is this the correct way to make a martini:

1. Chill glass with ice, then empty glass
2. Pour in vermonth,empty
3. Then fill with gin,and put in olive??

A: That about sums it up. You will also probably want to chill your gin or vodka if that is what you prefer. This is typically done in a shaker, either shaken or stirred as the saying goes.
