Treat Yourself To These Dessert Cocktails

Dessert cocktails that will satisfy that sweet tooth of yours. Go ahead, treat yourself to something nice:

Brandy Alexander

1 1/2oz brandy
1oz dark creme de cacao
1oz half-and-half
grated nutmeg sprinkle

Shake ingredients cold and strain into a martini glass. Sprinkle grated nutmeg on top as a garnish.

Butterscotch Truffle

2oz vodka
1oz butterscotch schnapps
1/4oz light creme de cacao

Shake ingredients cold and strain into a martini glass.

Chocolate Cake

This dessert cocktail is a shooter. And a tasty one too!

1oz Frangelico hazelnut liqueur
1oz citron vodka
sugar coated lemon wedge

Shake the Frangelico and citron vodka cold and strain into a shooter glass. Bite into the sugar coated lemon wedge and then down the shooter. Somehow it tasted like chocolate cake, crazy.

Chocolate Martini

2oz vodka, I like to use a vanilla vodka.
1/2oz light creme de cacao (it's a chocolate flavored liqueur that comes light or dark)
1/2oz Godiva chocolate liqueur

Shake the vodka and creme de cacao up together and strain into a martini glass. Then layer the Godiva chocolate liqueur. If you gently pour the 1/2oz of Godiva on the inside of the martini glass, it will automatically sink to the bottom giving you a cool layered effect. It's like having a Hershey's Kiss on the bottom of your martini.

Here is a second version. This martini recipe comes from a regular at where I work, so we dubbed it the Ode to Robert. It comes out tasting a bit like the candy bar Almond Joy.

2oz Godiva chocolate liqueur
1/4oz Frangelico hazelnut liqueur
1/4oz Malibu coconut rum
1/4oz vanilla flavored vodka
1/4oz of half and half

Shake all the ingredients cold and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder. A decadent dessert cocktail, but delicious.
